Walk of Witness 2027

The Walk of Witness is open to every church, fellowship and individual across Leicester. There is no membership and no ticket — if you love Jesus and want to make Him known in this city, you are welcome to walk with us. Churches are encouraged to come as a group, and individuals who have never walked before will always find someone to walk beside.

On the day we gather in the city centre, pray together, and then walk as one body carrying the cross through the main streets. There will be scripture readings, worship and short reflections along the route, and volunteers on hand with refreshments and a friendly word for anyone who stops to ask what we are doing. The pace is gentle and the route is accessible; stewards will be clearly identifiable throughout.

Staging the walk costs money — sound equipment, stewarding, printed materials, refreshments and the permissions needed to gather in the city centre. We are entirely self-funded, so every gift given through the fundraiser goes directly into putting the walk on and keeping it free for everyone who comes.
